Last week Thursday I was off to squaresuite in South Woodford to style and shoot an ankara collection, Atm Kollectionz’s. In 48 hours you and a friend will have a chance to win 2 pieces from their new collection. I’m back to work today which would usually start at 12:30pm. Currently prepping myself for a shoot on Thursday so alongside getting that done, had an informal interview to attend and grocery shopping to do. What To Wear? Decided to pair a shirt from my shop with a @ka.nna_official skirt. The detail on the skirt added some edge and creativity to my look. What do you think?
Receiving this piece from Lagos got me so excited I had to shoot a video. Worked with the photographer Adeola of @hrsdee and we shot on a Saturday morning in Knightsbridge. I managed to get some video clips with my camera and iPhone to make the video below.
On this post, I styled this top in 4 ways. Over a dress, paired with denim pants, a pinafore skirt and a pair of shorts (with & without a jacket). Hope you love these looks and get inspired to purchase your piece. Yes It comes in so many colours.

Another Sunday in London where one is so confused as to what to wear.. staying true to its name, it’s soooooo ☀️ sunny but I can’t go skimpy because, holy mass. It’s good enough that it’s frowned upon to wear pants or not cover hair at my church, can’t now be showing too much skin. This piece by @demurebydenike not only provide me with fresh air possibilities, the fit is just decent and perfect for the house of God. The only thing I’d have to deal with is the compliments and ‘where did you get this’ questions from the folks every time I’m in an African print.
Are we still buying Nigerian while in the UK? Of course we are. I recently shot some pieces with model, Irene of @i_am_taj in ankara outfits by @t4turban in London. Ranging from £10 – £40, there is definitely something for everyone. Being in England if you’re not paying through your nose for some African feel, you’d probably not be getting anything good. This brand has totally proved that wrong and excited my nerves. The finishing of their sewing got me so excited and happy to publish on this platform.
Here are some photos from the shoot.. You can find the rest of the photos on @retrogypsie. Click here to shop directly on their store. Feel free to message me instagram, email, twitter etc) as well for your ankara needs. View Post
