Hello you, lets get right into this.
While I did my research before my 6-day trip to Morocco last month, most of the articles and videos I’d read/watched, had addressed things like dressing appropriately, haggling prices at the souks, not taking photos of people, holding cash, being weary of supposed ‘guides’. What I never read or was told is that I was a major import into the economy. Morocco is so self sufficient, they literally make and build everything using their materials down to animal fossils.
Right from the airport, you’re like a good/shipment that’s just arrived a the wharf for clearing. Unfortunately, my immigration officer was ‘new on the job’. After what seemed like an hour of repeated questions and annoying glances, he (after consulting with a superior) returned my passport and told me bye. A few steps away while on a short queue, this man calls me back, requests my passport and starts massaging my visa like I painted it on my passport page. *sigh*. Click here to watch full vlog.
