Hello there,
as promised in the last video, I’d be sharing more details, photos and a video of the Riads we stayed at, the good we ate and our style while in Morocco.
Find below the names, addresses and a brief description + rating of the Riads we stayed at. Click here for the food we ate in Morocco. Search on instagram with the hashtag #mgtravelmor for style photos. For those who love a cute video, click here.
1. Ouarzazate
Dar Charma
Tajda Bp 701 Tarmigte, Ouarzazate, 45000, Morocco
This is a lovely place. Sizeable room with a pretty bathroom. The room wasn’t as pretty as the foyer and backyard. My room had a Vee to the pool and trees which was beautiful. Food was nice too. 8/10
2. Merzouga
The Camel Trekking Sahara Desert Luxury Tent 🏕, Merzougaa
This was such an experience. The tent looked regal. I bumped my leg 3 times against some fixture at the edge of the bed. Bathroom was lovely and clean. We only had water wok meals and of course tea/coffee if needed. It got proper cold at night and the Air conditioner wasn’t working. We were advised to use the extra blankets in the room. Recommended, will be good to experience the nomad lifestyle. 8.5/10.
3. Riad Fez Yamanda
1/3 Derb Ben Doud Zerbtana, Batha, Medina, Fes El Bali, Fès, 30200, Morocco
Here I had my least fav stay. The room we stayed was so far from what the photos online looked like. The foyer was beautiful but the room was so boring and stale. The WiFi also did not work and the staff kept pretending like they didn’t know it didn’t work upstairs. Was glad to check out. 4/10.
4. Usha Guest House
The Appartment
quartier Sebbanine Derb Jamaa N°25, Chefchaouene, 91000, Morocco
Our apartment hawks this boho vibe about, like a flat belonging to an organised hoarder. There was books, records, some straw chair, a yellow vintage box and lost more. It was really clean and colourful too. Had this slim beautiful set of stairs leading to the rooftop.
Location was perfectly situated. The apartment was a 3-5 minute walk to the main building and the turns were confusing so we skipped breakfast. 7/10.
5. Riad Le Perroquet Blue Suites & Spa
86 Arset El Baraka Bab Ghmat, Medina, Marrakech, 40000, Morocco
One work to describe this Riad, Tranquil. In the midst of the madness and aggressive of Marrakesh sits this beautiful property behind a set of big and beautiful doors. Numerous terraces, pool, fountains, high ceilings and doors, we almost did not want to do the medina planned tour. Although he hotel had no kitchen so one had to book at 11am for dinner – the food tasted so delicious and looked well presented. There was also a spa plus rooftop terrace for date night. The staff were proactive with solving problems. They got our boarding passes printed and made provision for breakfast 4 hours before the usual time. 9.5/10.
